Great blog. I'm also a NOVA-ite, a bubble-sitter, and a fan of Ben's blog.
A friend of mine tried selling his house in Loudon last year, he even went down 10% from 2005 highs and was unsuccessful. He's also taking out equity to improve the house that is only 4 years old. He's probably typical.
@arlingtonva, I'm not surprised about your friend in Loudoun. Is he improving the house in order to put in on the market again?
@georgesalt, Welcome and happy bubble-sitting. I try to get interested in buying a house, but after two years of bubble-sitting I find myself less and less enamored of what's out there. (I know too much scary data for my own good).
